The Pursuit of Happiness

· Reflections,Managing Emotions

With the best of intentions, 2020 wasn't the year I managed to return to regular writing. It was, instead, the year of many changes, pivots, and forging new paths - and my team (chnge.club) and I did very well in adapting to the New Normal. I'm so proud of them!

That being said, this first post of 2021 is not about my team or my business, but rather - a little personal reflection.

Everyone has their own personal journey to fight through, their own path to walk, their own peak to conquer. And even though we meet people who will accompany us on part of our way, the main journey is a solo one. No one walks the exact same path as you - they are all slightly different.

And sometimes when we are busy with work, life, lovers, children, friends; we forget that we are also on our life's journey and that it is important we do things for ourselves as well.

There is a time and place for hustling.

There is a time and place for colleagues.

There is a time and place for your loved ones.

There is a time and place for yourself; your own personal growth, your own spiritual growth. In the frantic career growth of 2020, I forgot to spend time with myself, and that has thrown off some of my inner balance.

After all, it is only when you find peace, happiness and fulfillment in yourself, that you can bring the same to your other relationships.

Something as simple as taking an hour in your afternoon to sit somewhere beautiful and appreciate nature, is completely underrated.

What are some of the things that make you happy?
